In the year my mom ran away, she learned to make stars. Even after my siblings and I entered her life, she still remembered how. These stars, borne of her story, continue to shine.
The trick, I suppose, is learning to be open and present when every atom of your being is screaming, though it doesn't always appear to be a viable option.

Beauty and skill out of what I initially perceive as a turbulent and trying time. But isn't that how it usually is?
